SummerHills is a beautiful Eco Retreat in the picturesque Byron Bay Hinterland,
with an abundance of wildlife and birdlife that make their home at the retreat.
We have a family of koalas, echidnas and swamp wallabies
as well as lots of rare and endangered bird species and lots of other wildlife in residence.
Our accommodation is scattered throughout the retreat amongst lush tropical gardens for you to wander through and enjoy.
We are also a working macadamia farm which we manage organically,
so there’s always lots to do and see here including our 2km walk and 4km hike through the orchards.
As an Eco Retreat on 113 acres, we are not just handy Byron Bay accommodation, we are also stunning mountain views,
a refreshing saltwater pool, relaxing sun-lounges, lots of spaciousness, peacefulness, airiness and lightness.
We manage as much as we can naturally and organically where possible, right through to the all natural lemon myrtle cleaning products that we use. As eco warriors, we also recycle, reuse, reduce and repair.

We are not slick, we are unapologetically humble, austere, sincere and natural in everything that we do at SummerHills Retreat.
And most importantly, we will take exceptional care of you with good old fashioned service because that's the way it should be,
which means that every guest at our place is a VIP.

"We stayed three nights during our first trip to Australia and loved the SummerHills Retreat! It was so peaceful and with a beautiful view. We woke up to the sound of singing birds and took a walk around the retreat on a trail amid the lush green.
